Comet 4 Wing Textures
05/12/07 19:00
The Comet was variously painted and unpainted, by all
the different airlines. Some went to the trouble of
keeping the aluminium skins polished, and others (eg
the RAF) painted the fuselage belly and wings pale
grey. Obviously, this Comet has to cater for both.
The exciting news is that X-Plane 9.00 Beta has been announced, and that some surfaces, like water, show reflections. Not aircraft skins, however, because the calculations are in a different league to water, and also the load on our processors. A link to Ben Supnik's explanation is shown below. So I am pressing ahead with what I call a "dull pewter" sheen.
