Once the nacelle shape was complete, the split-flaps were cut out, so they fit exactly, given a structure and thickness, and animated.
The top illustrations also show that enough nacelle interior has been created (jet pipe outer skin, nacelle inner skin and bulkheads) to reveal the correct detail when the split flaps are open.
The right hand illustrations also show the NACA ducts for cooling, compressor seal outlet and engine bay cooling outlets in red, and the lower reverse thrust duct.
