| Landing Gear (1/2) |
|---|
The entire landing gear, including gear doors, has been
created in an object file. Wheels have solidity and
shape, especially the nose-wheel, with its three-spoke
rims and bulging tyres.
The front wheel strut is telescopic.
The main gear has leading and trailing suspension arms,
push-rods, fulcrums, telescopic struts and dampers.

It’s worth pointing out that the landing gear object file is as large as the entire aircraft file (ACF), and twice as large as the nacelle file, and four times larger than the wing file, which shows how quickly object files can build in size. Even this is a gross simplification of the real design, but still a huge upgrade on the standard “lolly-pop”.
